Once again, we taking a look behind the curtain at a noteworthy bank merger. Hope Bancorp’s pending purchase of Territorial Bancorp will give the Los Angeles company its first operations in Hawaii. Looking at the background of the deal, it struck me that Hope raised the exchange ratio for the deal three times between mid-November and late December.
There are also some really good details about the compensation and noncompete terms for a couple of high-level Territorial executives.
